Hello All
1. There was a decent number of reinstatements early in the week, and I urge the suits to continue in this direction; Trump officially announced tariffs and closed the de minimis loophole. I shared an open letter from a concerned business as many sellers are concerned; If your vendor account was terminated in the last 6 months, please contact me; ASGTG videos + previous 10 events for only $125.
2. SAFE-T Claims approval rate and refund amount seem to be way down. Anonymous tips can always be submitted here.
3. Your Amazon Strategy Won’t Win Walmart’s Buy Box—Learn How to Compete. Amazon sellers, meet your next challenge: Walmart’s Buy Box. With different rules in play, what works on Amazon could hurt your chances on Walmart. Feedvisor’s infographic offers a side-by-side comparison of the key Buy Box metrics that will make or break your success on both platforms. Download it now to fine-tune your strategy and start winning. (Sponsored)
4. Liquidation Suppliers can be accepted if the items on the invoices are itemized. They lean towards rejecting it. Paypal invoices are generally not accepted.
5. A seller was suspended for review manipulation after merging variations of items that received Vine reviews.
6. There are still sellers being suspended for review manipulation with inserts and services that clearly break TOS. These are difficult to reinstate unless they are false positives.
7. The new reimbursement policy kicked in, with Amazon reimbursing much lower amounts. There have been reports of pending cases that were open before April 1, receiving lower rates that have then been overturned when you show them the case was open in March. See here. The forum moderator also said that you would get a second one to compensate for those reimbursements.
8. Aveda will be hard gated on April 30th, according to multiple sellers who received notifications. It is likely similar to the Michael Koors situation, in which they will be managing their own store. (For some reason, some sellers are again selling MK)
9. Media is reporting that Amazon made an offer to buy TikTok. Do you support this? I do not think it is likely to happen for various reasons. I also think its a bad idea.
10. There’s a spoof email going around that uses your registered seller name and includes a fake confirmation link. Everything else looks perfect. If you get one, don’t click anything—log in to Amazon directly to verify any notifications. Always confirm through Seller Central, not through email links.
Wishing You A Great Weekend, ED Rosenberg Voice of the Seller
