Amazon’s “Estimated” Reimbursements Aren’t Adding Up / De Minimis Ending / Tariff Uncertainty

1. The tariffs are a seismic shift for E-commerce. De minimis is ending (shipping cheap items directly from China with no import fee), and the tariff rate % is shifting dramatically. The consensus is we are in unknown territory. 2. Anecdotally,  Amazon has been very reasonable in resolving issues at the ASIN level. Once an account is suspended, getting reinstated becomes somewhat harder—so it’s critical to act before it gets to that point. There was another healthy trickle of reinstatement this week;

5. There are complaints that Amazon is not reimbursing the submitted cost and only reimbursing “Amazon Estimates,” which is way off; Sellers are facing suspensions for review manipulation, which are hard to overturn if Amazon decides they violate its Terms of Service.

9. As a rule, don’t list products unless you can provide documentation from your supplier’s source if Amazon asks for it. This matters more than even a Letter of Authorization from the brand. They want to see the supply chain is proper.
